OUTDOOR FEATURES

- The lake bottom is sandy, great shoreline entry. The beach appears toward the end of August and into September/October. During July, the water level is at its highest point.
- ~5-6ft depth off end of the dock for cannonball fun; dock ladder.
- 2 light plastic chairs on the dock or for around the fire bowl.
- At night, enjoy sunsets, toast marshmallows at the lakeside fire bowl and listen to the loons while watching the stars - repeat the next day!

- The dock can accommodate your motorboat; Anstruther Lake Marina is just down the road with boat rentals, restaurant and, of course, Ice Cream!

AREA
- Anstruther Marina 2 minutes from the cottage with wifi, boat rental services and ice cream.
- Head into the quaint town of Apsley not 15 minutes from the cottage, to experience the sights and the tastes: Apsley Farmers Market, Swiss Bear Café, a pleasant surprise… Indian food from Apsley Inn & Restaurant!
- For outdoor adventure away from the dock, look no further than Silent Lake PP with over 19 km of hiking trails and 17 km of mountain biking trails; 30 minutes from the cottage.
- For avid canonists, Anstruther Lake is a part of the Kawartha Highlands Provincial Park canoe routes; https://www.ontarioparks.ca/pdf/maps/kawarthahighlands/park_map.pdf. Of particular interest, Cooper Lake falls is a scenic stop.

What to expect:

* Water – Water is from a drilled well, tested annually and great for drinking.
* Pillows and blankets are provided.
* Bed sheets, indoor and outdoor towels and kitchen linens are not provided - you will need to bring your own. Bed sizes indicated on the cottage listing.
* You will need to clean the cottage, remove all garbage and food, and ensure grounds/fire pit are free from garbage when you check out as per welcome book instructions.
* Should we have to do an emergency clean over and above and/or remove any garbage/recycling, fees will be applied per the Terms and Conditions you agreed to.
* BBQ Gas is provided.
* Smoking/vaping and the lighting of candles is not permitted within the cottage.
* Two Loons owners will allow two adult dogs on approval.
* Please be sure to watch and clean up after your dog and do not allow it to wander to the neighbour's property.

Cancellation Policy: One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges (less $185.00 taxable cancellation fee) will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 60 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 60 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.

PAYMENT POLICY: The rental rate and all fees are subject to HST. A deposit of 30% is due upon booking. The balance is due 60 days prior to your arrival.
