OUTDOOR FEATURES
- Large floating dock (with dock ladder) facing west for sun all day and sunsets in the evening.
- On the dock, relax under the gazebo for shade or on the grass for full sun.
- The generous deck provides lounge seating with umbrella or dining with umbrella.
- Jump into 5-8ft of water off the end of the dock.
- Gradual sand shoreline with shallow entry onto soft sand bottom. Some aquatic plant life in the shallow water near the boat launch, otherwise clear off the dock in deep water.
- Water toys: Two Kayaks, a canoe, a stand-up paddle board (SUP) and a paddle boat available for guest use
- Pull up one of 6 light plastic Adirondack chairs (or small kids chairs!) to the lake-facing fit pit.

- Just a short drive from Norland, Silent Lake Provincial Park offers beautiful hiking trails, picnicking areas, and excellent swimming. It’s a perfect spot for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.
- Take a scenic hike to Foley's Falls near Norland for a peaceful walk and a view of the beautiful waterfall surrounded by lush greenery. It’s a fantastic spot for photography, a picnic, or simply enjoying nature.

What to expect:
* Water - The drinking water comes in through the well. There is a 5 stage reverse osmosis water tap in the kitchen that's great for drinking.
* Please note the water pressure in the master bedroom shower can vary at times.
* Pillows and blankets are provided.
* Bed sheets, indoor and outdoor towels and kitchen linens are not provided - you will need to bring your own. Bed sizes are indicated in the listing.
* Cleaning - Clean on departure service provided. Guests are still required to leave the cottage tidy, all food removed, garbage and recycling (properly sorted as per Welcome Book instructions) and taken to the landfill on departure using provided pass.
* BBQ Gas is provided via direct hook-up to cottage propane.
* Smoking/vaping and the lighting of candles is not permitted within the cottage.
* Please note: Wards Landing is a no pet cottage.
* Water levels at the lake: you may notice that, when you arrive at the cottage, the lake level/shoreline may be different from the photos you saw on the listing. That's because water levels are controlled by the Trent-Severn Waterway(TSW). Historically, this means lake levels tend to be higher in June-July and drawn down in August-September. Cancellation Policy: One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges (less $185.00 taxable cancellation fee) will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 60 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 60 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
PAYMENT POLICY: The rental rate and all fees are subject to HST. A deposit of 30% is due upon booking. The balance is due 60 days prior to your arrival.
